–All-New 2007 Mazda CX-7: A Distinctly-Styled Crossover SUV with A Sportscar Soul-

LOS ANGELES – Mazda today debuted the all-new Mazda CX-7 crossover sport-utility vehicle (SUV) at the Greater Los Angeles Auto Show. Featuring style, sophistication and excitement, the CX-7 is the first of three all-new Mazda vehicles that are being designed and engineered specifically for the North American market. Mazda will announce details of the remaining two vehicles at a later date.

“The Mazda CX-7 represents everything a Mazda SUV should be: powerful, stylish, beautifully crafted and fun to drive,” said Jim O’Sullivan, president and CEO, Mazda North American Operations. “Being the first of three vehicles designed, engineered and built specifically for North America , the CX-7 is crucially important to the Mazda lineup and to the success of Mazda as a whole.”

Produced entirely on Mazda-derived platform architecture, the five-seat CX-7 embodies an astute blend of sports car verve and SUV practicality, resulting in a fun-to-drive SUV with Mazda’s trademark “Soul of a Sportscar”. It is a vehicle that brings together performance and design like never before.



The distinctive exterior design of the Mazda CX-7 is an extension of the sports car motif influenced by the 1995 RX-01 and 2005 MX-Crossport concept vehicles. Prominent front fenders, A-pillars rooted at the body’s leading edge, and Mazda’s signature five-pointed grille clearly register this new model as a Mazda. Inside, CX-7 fulfills every car enthusiast’s innate desire to jump in and drive. The three-dial instrument cluster, sports car inspired high-mounted shifter and form-fitting front bucket seats are configured for spirited motoring.



Matching the sporty appearance, the Mazda CX-7’s performance is powerful and dynamic, with use of a turbocharged and intercooled 2.3-liter four-cylinder direct-injection gasoline engine that produces 244-horsepower at 5,000 rpm. Furthermore, the Mazda CX-7 delivers an estimated 23 mpg in combined driving.

Why at last?????why 100% different??????

Why Mazda come in market always at last and why not something new in segment. Such as Mazda CX-7 the concept was much much cool looking interior, specially push button sports automatic trasmission, The interior consule, instead of 20" rims why 18" Why instead of having 3 camera's only 1? why not DVD intertainment system? No dual climate control system? No trailer Hitch retracking why? Whats left cutting edge from Nissan Morano? I guess Mazda don't care what does it do to sales people. When a concept comes to production sales department start setting sales to their customers for the upcoming sale. They even tell customers don't buy lexus rx330 now mazda is launching this amazing crossover suv which will have these features, here is the picture in the mazda fuel megazin. Why all this????????why? why? why? Now i am 100% sure the way kabura looks from inside and out as of right now it will be definately 100% different by the time it comes in showrooms for sale. I haven't figure this out why not only one thing get change why all of it. I liked Mazda 3 because when mazda launched 3 there is no other vehicle in its class like it. why mazda don't make all of its vehicle like that? Which can make mazda to be the leader in automobile industry. So, mazda don't have to put any rebates on its vehicles to sell, hold their value alot. why not the production only from Japan why from detriots? Here is the difference between Japan essembled vs domestic. 3, RX-8, Mazda5, MX-5 holds their value very well as well as toyota and honds. Mazda6, Tribute, Bseries trucks hold their values as Ford, Chevy, Chryslers. Please look all these and decide the future of Mazda

bern or dan someone get ahold of Jim OSullivan and get him to name the "3 other US models" he is talking about. any clue? im thining he might mean the 7 seat cx-7 (cx-9) the larger Mazda6 for 2007 and the production coupe based on the Kabura.
