NEW YORK, Jan. 12 -- Known for its design and technology heritage, Mazda Motor Corporation is offering consumers an inside look at its many automotive firsts though an online museum (www.mazdamuseum.com) developed and created by longtime interactive agency partner Sarkissian Mason.
The online museum brings the existing Mazda Museum at the Company's Hiroshima Design Center to life using a combination of flash and broadband video. Visitors can scroll back in time to learn about Mazda milestones in automotive history from its LeMans winning RX-7 to the development of the Rotary Engine, a transformative moment in car technology. |

IRVINE, Calif., January 11, 2007 Faced with increased competition in the American LeMans Series LMP2 category, MAZDASPEED Motorsports Development and B-K Motorsports today announced they will partner with Advanced Engine Research Ltd (AER) and Lola Cars to develop an all-new Mazda-derived engine and purpose-built chassis for their 2007 championship effort. The goal is to improve on the 2006 result of third place in the American LeMans Series (ALMS) Championship for P2 cars, with an eye on the top step of the podium. |

Additionally, a high-power and energy efficient turbo diesel engine, Mazda's Idling Stop & Start System and lighter body parts all contribute to better environmental performance and fuel economy, ensuring the Titan meets the latest environmental regulations for commercial vehicles. DETROIT – At this week’s North American International Auto Show (NAIAS), Mazda North American Operations will unveil – for the first time ever – its Ryuga design concept and its all-new Tribute SUV Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV). All attending media are invited to the formal unveiling on the Mazda show stand at 10:15 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, 2007. Ryuga (pronounced: ree-yoo-ga) builds on Mazda’s concept of flow. Nagare – Japanese for “flow” – debuted at the Los Angeles Auto Show in November and introduced the company’s new design future. Japanese for “gracious flow,” Ryuga will reflect a higher level of sophistication through the use of rich fabrics, engineered fits and hidden details. Laurens van den Acker, Design Division General Manager for Hiroshima, Japan’s Mazda Motor C orporation , disturbed the status-quo and challenged every designer in his three global studios with that very question upon his arrival at Mazda early last year.
After months of soul searching, hundreds of sketches and thousands of discussions, meetings, arguments and revisions, the first part of the answer was unveiled at the recent Los Angeles Auto Show. Mazda’s provocative Nagare (pronounced “nah-gah-reh”) – Japanese for “flow” – concept introduced a new surface language that evokes the emotion of motion in a stationary automobile. |

Mazda Canada Sets Annual Sales Record |

--Sales exceed 81,000 for the first time in the Company’s history--
(Richmond Hill, ON): Mazda Canada set its third consecutive annual sales record by retailing 81,007 vehicles in 2006, a 4% increase over the 77,867 vehicles sold in 2005. Mazda increased sales of both passenger cars and light trucks in 2006. Passenger car sales totalled 69,209 units, representing a 2% year-over-year increase. Light truck sales of 11,798 units represented a 14% increase over 2005.
“Breaking through the 80,000 sales barrier for the first time in our history is quite an accomplishment, especially in such a competitive market,” said Don Romano, President of Mazda Canada Inc. “This is a true testament to our ability to design products that connect with Canadian consumers and the strength of the Mazda brand,” he continued. |

Reporting to Jeremy Barnes, group manager, product communications, Case will serve as the primary media contact for all North American media on issues relating to MAZDASPEED Motorsports activities ranging from production car based programs in SCCA Club Racing, the MX-5 Cup, SCCA SPEED World Challenge as well as open wheel series like Star Mazda and the Champ Car Atlantic Championship powered by Mazda. |
