Submitted by Berny on Thursday, January 6, 2005 - 18:52Other

It’s Auto Show season again, and MazdaNews.Com was on hand to cover and preview the Greater LA Auto Show this year, and we wanted to see what our favorite manufacturer, Mazda, had in store for us in ‘05.

There were a few cool Mazda show vehicles, like the Troy Lee designed pieces: an RX-8 and a Mazda3. There was also the Official Mazda RX-8 pace car, and a wild Mazda6 wagon with box flairs, and not so well fitting wheels. This was really it for the show stuff though.

On the production side, the new MazdaSpeed-6 was on hand, along with a full cut away that showed all of its drivetrain and engine detail. Beyond this was the whole line-up of existing production vehicles like the MPV, Mazda3, Mazda6, etc.. a lot of the production models were on display in all manner of different trim and options. So if you are considering a new Mazda, and are in Southern California area the next few weeks, stop by the show and check out all of the Mazdas on hand.

MAZDA REGISTERS HIGHEST INCREASE OF ANY BRAND IN J.D. POWER AND ASSOCIATES STUDY
Submitted by Berny on Thursday, October 28, 2004 - 14:48Other

IRVINE, Calif. -- Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today announced its score in the benchmark 2004 J.D. Power and Associates’ APEAL Study – released today – registered a 22-point increase, the highest year-over-year increase of any automaker. In addition, Mazda is the highest scoring full-line non-luxury manufacturer. The company’s score also places it well above the industry average and is the highest score Mazda has ever received in the Study.

"With APEAL measuring what customers like and dislike about their vehicles, it’s no wonder Mazda’s new line of cars is driving this success," said Robert Davis, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Product Development, for MNAO. "The reality is that there truly are no bad cars on the market today – the difference between the highest and lowest ranking vehicles in the Study is closer than ever before. Only those companies that produce cars that surprise and delight their owners at, and long after, the purchase, will succeed in the future."
