For the first time in six years Mazda Australia will enter a two-car team in next month’s Targa Tasmania, with the 2007 event marking the endurance rally debut of the country’s quickest hot-hatch, the Mazda3 MPS.
Acclaimed rally driver, Rick Bates, will spearhead the Mazda Targa Team in the front-wheel-drive Mazda3 MPS and, in a first for Mazda Motorsport, rising female rally star, Melinda Both, will pilot the four-wheel-drive luxury Mazda6 MPS that won its class at last year’s rally. |

HIROSHIMA, Japan--Mazda Motor Corporation has announced its staff recruitment plan for fiscal year (FY) 2008. In accordance with its plans for future growth, Mazda will offer 280 engineering, 60 administrative/clerical, 520 manufacturing and 30 medical/other positions to prospective employees in Japan.

TOKYO (March 21, 2007) - Mazda Motor Corp plans to increase by fiscal 2008 domestic production by about 15 pct from the fiscal 2006 level and introduce a hydrogen-electric hybrid vehicle by that year, the Nikkei business daily reported without citing sources.
Mazda will give details of plans to increase production capacity and focus resources on green vehicles in its medium-term business plan to start in the year to March 2008, which will be announced tomorrow. |
