RESTON, Va.-(Business Wire)-March 8, 2007 - Proxicom, an interactive agency that helps customers make the best use of the Web, has completed development of the mobile Web site for Mazda North America Operations (MNAO) (www.mazdausa.com), which launched earlier this month. From one Web address, viewers can access content from the auto manufacturer regardless of device, screen resolution, or size, and without the need for a mobile-specific browser.

An abridged version of the main Web site, the mobile site offers a zip-code based dealer locator, and features and specifications of various Mazda vehicles. Future capabilities will be directions to a dealer, inventory search, a vehicle configurator, and the ability to request a brochure.

MAZDA CLAIMS TOP SPOT IN RECENT RELIABILITY REPORT

IRVINE, Calif. – Mazda vehicles have claimed the top place in one of the world’s largest- ever reports on vehicle reliability. Nearly 92 percent of the Mazda cars studied, including the MX-5 Miata, aged between three and nine years old, suffered no mechanical failure of any type – outperforming all other brands.

The report, which was issued by independent automotive extended-warranty specialists, Warranty Direct, looked at the reliability of more than 450,000 vehicles from 33 manufacturers, across the United States and United Kingdom. The resulting ‘Reliability League Table’ shows the number of failures reported for every 100 vehicles covered by Warranty Direct’s policies. Mazda was rated number one with a failure rate of just 8.04 percent of vehicles aged between three and nine years old.

Mazda North America Operations Files Ocean Damage Suit

Mazda North America Operations and its insurance company have filed a lawsuit in US Federal Court in Portland, Oregon seeking more than $40 million from Tokyo-based Mitsui O.S.K. Lines Ltd.

The case stems from last summer's ill-fated voyage of Mitsui's Cougar Ace, which was transporting 4,703 new Mazdas across the Pacific when it started taking on water south of the Aleutian Islands. The ship eventually stabilized after listing 60 degrees onto its port side.

IRVINE, Calif., Feb. 1
-- Mazda North American Operations (MNAO) today reported its best January since 1994 thanks to sales of 19,265 vehicles for January 2007, accounting for a 6.0 percent increase versus last year.

January sales were led in volume by continued strong sales of the wildly popular MAZDA3, which reported sales of 7,653 units, a 25.3 percent increase versus last year. The innovative MAZDA5 multi-activity vehicle continues to be a strong seller as it posted sales of 1,326, an 8.7 percent increase versus last year.
